When I look back on my journey over the past nearly five years, and the quantum leaps I’ve been blessed to have been able to make in that span of time—honestly, I can barely recognize the life that I lived back then versus what it is now.

I can honestly say that it wasn’t about years of studying strategy, funnels, or the perfect email. When I look back at what really made the difference, particularly in those early years, it was the work I did on myself and my energy. I often talk about the power of mindset, and that’s why I so strongly believe in coaching and why most of my business is centered on coaching. But there’s a part beyond coaching that really is just as important, yet not talked about enough:

That, simply, is the work on your energy.

What do I think about when I look back on the most powerful parts of my business? It’s not the hours mulling over a computer or comparing myself to other successful businesses on Instagram. It was that energy work.

It was:

• The 4:30 a.m. wakeup calls with a motivational playlist that got me out of bed and helped me feel ready to take inspired action.
• The coaching call replays that I listened to on airplanes, again and again and again to saturate my mind.
• The books and YouTube videos that moved me to tears as I could literally feel my subconscious mind shifting as I listened to them, day in and day out, while still working at my 9-5 job.

All of this might sound a little bit hard to make sense of, and I’m not trying to make it sound overwhelming. I’m sharing this to show you what genuinely helped me the most. And that was the energy work. I can honestly say that that was the difference between running side hustle to  running my own business full-time, just as much as it was  going from $10,000 months to $100,000 months.

Energy is where the strategy comes from. Energy is where the motivation comes from. Energy is where the attraction comes from. In other words, energy is the base of it all.
