3 Tips To Make Daily Sales
Your Biggest Vision
Season 3, Ep. 118

Not everything you see on social media is real.

But my nearly-daily sales notifications… are very real.

As I am slowing my personal life down during my final weeks of pregnancy, I am grateful for my passive daily sales that are made daily with my business.

My passive sales allow me to travel, be a mom, spend time with my son, and adjust my lifestyle as needed while still making sales.

In today’s episode, I share with you the 3 tips to make daily sales and how to grow your business. I discuss:

  • Why passive daily sales may or may not be right for you and your business, and how to make that decision

  • Maintaining consistency with your outreach, and reaching clients organically to increase your daily sales traffic

  • Utilizing social media in a way that reaches a larger audience

Leah Gervais: Hey everyone. Welcome back to the show. Leah here, excited to be with you for a podcast episode, what I hope is the first of a lot more podcast episodes. I have so much to say lately, and things in my personal life have slowed down a bit in terms of travel and how much in person work I did over the course of the spring.

Uh, it is July here in New York. I just finished my mastermind retreat, which was oh, amazing. Every time I host these, I just think, I don’t know how it can get any better and it somehow does, and I can’t take all the credit for that. I mean, I do think that I’ve gotten better and better over the years at planning and hosting them, but it’s also my amazing clients. And so many of them have been part of the mastermind for, uh, at least one year, some of them even years at this point.

And I think that a big part of why these mastermind retreats are so powerful is just because of them and the community that has been created around it. And, um, the depth of work they are able to do with me and with each other. And, um, it’s just really special. You know, I love having an online business because I love all the benefits of not having to go to an office and being able to travel and still work and having location independence, but it can lose the art or the specialness of being with people together.

Particularly as a coach, I really find so much fulfillment and value and uniqueness in, in working with my clients in person. So still on a big high from that. Um, and I am in my eighth month of pregnancy, which is wild. I’m sure many of you moms out there that have had more than one baby know how different your subsequent pregnancies are to your first.

Where at, I mean, at this point with my first pregnancy, I feel like I was starting to, you know, countdown to the end and, and wrap up all the things that I wanted to do and, you know, get done to prepare. And I sort of feel like I’m still starting to prepare with this one. But there’s, you know, it’s very different. There’s not as much to prepare mentally or physically.

One you have just logistically you have more, you have some of the things already and mentally you’ve already done it. Um, not, not to say every baby’s gonna be the same, and I also feel like I’ve forgotten more than I thought I would, um, for it only having been a few years. But I think part of it is just knowing that you have to just figure it out as you go. Anyway, there’s not, there’s only so much you can do to prepare.

So anyway, that is just a little personal life update. And with the final stretch of my pregnancy and just taking it easier on a day-to-day basis more, I’m hoping to create more podcasts. That is the plan. So please stay tuned. Um, be subscribed to both to my private podcast, your biggest fi and or I’m sorry, to my private podcast, seven Figure Secrets and to your Biggest Vision. I’ll continue to make your biggest vision more about mindset and visioning and overall goals and lifestyle and keep my strategies and nitty gritty details of my business in seven figure secrets.

So, lots of exciting things to come. And on today’s episode, I wanted to talk about something that I think I really lusted over and for years in my business and that people mentioned to me, um, which is how to receive sales on a daily basis. Meaning how to get notifications on your phone that you’ve made a new sale every day, pretty much every day.

If you follow me on Instagram, I often share snapshots of my own sales on a daily basis. I call them my passive park sales. If you dunno the story, then we invite you to attend our upcoming webinar on it. I will put the link for that in this, in the show notes, and you also can DM me the word webinar on Instagram and you’ll be able to register automatically that way. Um, long story short, uh, uh, when my son was about 18 months old, I developed, I started developing a system that took from different things I had learned over the years in digital marketing to sell my products more possibly and really, really refine them to work for me in my lifestyle as a mom and as a service-based business owner.

So I don’t have an entirely passive business. I don’t really think that that’s the direction I’ll ever go in because I like working with clients so much, but I wanted to have a much larger percentage of my income be passive so that I could spend more time with my son, specifically at the par at our beloved central park with him, which is why I call them passive park sales.

I have fun with it. If we’re doing, if I’m doing other things other than going to the park, like when I was in Italy, I called them my passive pizza sales. Um, sometimes when I’m at a Broadway show and I make a bunch of sales while I’m in it, I’ll call them my passive play sales. Whatever alliteration you want to go with, uh, you will see if you follow me on Instagram that we do make sales every day. I, I don’t, I’m trying to think of like the caveat here. Probably 20 out of 21 days we make sales, so not every 365 days a year, but pretty much every day. Definitely we’ll go weeks and weeks, uh, with making sales every day.

So is it amazing? It honestly really is. It never really gets old, checking my phone after a Broadway show or while in Italy, or most importantly with my son and seeing these sales notifications come in. And the best thing is, it’s attainable. I’m just like any other business owner that employed a strategy that I wanted to work and I had a big reason and I was willing to see it through for quite a while. Um, and this is the result of it.

So with all that, I wanted to share my three tips to making daily sales, if that’s something that you’re craving or something that you think would be fun to explore or that you want to think about in the context of your business, whether or not that’s something that you want to make a goal. And so my first tip with that is, is exactly what I’m saying here, which is to understand why you want to make daily sales. And I I say that because I think it’s very easy to see that frequency and assume that that equates the amount and it does not.

The truth is that my sales that I make every single day for my digital products are lower ticket sales. For the most part. Now we have enough volume thanks to our traffic strategies that I teach in my pass at park course, that it does result in thousands of dollars every month in sales.

But if you are a service-based business and you are really focusing on selling your services, then making daily sales might not make as much sense for you as your priority because you might wanna be focusing more on making more high ticket sales versus frequent, yes, but much lower value sales because overall it will one, not make you as much money.

And two, it will dilute the strength of your service, the services that you’re selling. Because if you are still really trying to get that going and really trying to find a strategy that works messaging that clicks and audience that is trusting of you, if you’re kind of just Ty dialing in the service part of your business, then you might not need to make sales every single day. At that point. It might be healthier for you to get in the mindset of, I’d like to make sales a few times a month, but I want them to be new long-term clients.

And that is very different from making a daily sale, even if it’s under $50 every single day. So the first thing is to understand what makes sense for your business, why you want this for your business, and how this plays into the overall goal of your business. The second thing is to understand what you’re willing to do to do it.

So a big question we get frequently when people see my passive sales is, do you do this all organic? You know, do you use ads? We do use ads. I’m very, very open about my adoration for ads, and that’s because I don’t want to rely on having to post on social media every day. We do make organic sales, but we make more through paid. That is my choice. If you wanted to use my organic strategy, ’cause I teach both in my passive park sales course and webinar, um, you don’t have to use ads.

You could do it alone and you’d still make sales probably every day. It might take time for you to get to every day, um, but you’d have to post every day, right? And so that’s the trade off. What are you more willing to do? For me, I’m more willing to spend money on ads and have a smaller profit margin if it means having my time to be a mom to work with my clients. You know, if I had only a passive business, it might be different, um, or a product based business, but I still love working with clients and that’s not something I, I see myself retiring.

So know what you’re willing to do in your business. Know what you’re willing to spend your time on and know what you’re willing to spend your money on. It’s not actually that hard to make a sale every day if you actively sell every day, if you’re in DMS with someone every day, if you’re posting new content every day, if you are, uh, running ads, let’s say every day, right?

So I have this understanding of what makes sense business-wise, what makes sense financially, what makes sense with my capacity and what aligns with my lifestyle goals to trade off so that I can make these sales every single day. And I think just reminding yourself of that really can help you stay out of the comparison trap.

People tend to get in on social media where they look at other people’s businesses or successes and they just wonder, why aren’t I doing that? Why aren’t I making more? Why aren’t I making more and more frequently? But one of the, one of the best concepts you can do in life, this isn’t just about business, is if you’re going to compare one part of someone’s life to yours, you kind of need to compare the whole thing.

And so looking at all that they’re willing to do, all that they are doing, all that they’re paying to have done, and just gut check with yourself, does this make the most sense for me in my business right now?

Is this, are these trade offs I’m willing to make? Is this something that I’m willing to do? Okay, the first two, if you have those sort of more big picture questions nailed down. The third, very practical tip, if you are like, I want sales every day, it makes sense for my business model, I’m willing to do what it takes, then the very practical next thing you can do is make sure that you have the traffic to generate sales on a daily basis.

And I think that people underestimate just how much traffic you need. Now there’s really two ways to go about this. As I’ve alluded to in this podcast episode several times. There’s two ways you can generate huge amounts of traffic. One is via organic marketing. Typically what that looks like, particularly in the context of my own passive park sales system, is content creation on something like Instagram, sometimes TikTok, you hear these unicorn stories of people really popping off on TikTok and just being able to sell tons of low ticket content and that absolutely can happen.

TikTok still has, uh, the potential for you to have a wide amount of visibility and so does Instagram right now because Instagram wants to beat TikTok. So they are promoting reels quite a bit. Now, in order to find the potential on those platforms with organic marketing, um, you have to, you have to appease the algorithm.

And I’m not a TikTok expert at all, but from what I understand and the clients I have that are the most successful on TikTok, and my sister is actually a TikTok, is TikTok famous. Um, you have to post every single day, often more than once a day, often twice a day, and you need to post at the same time every day. You need to be studying the trends that they have that they’re promoting or, you know, within the algorithm, uh, and making content within that every day. And, um, you have to be engaging with people on it every day.

In other words, it’s a full-time job creating the content that you need in order to have that huge amount of reach on social media. So if that is part of, again, part of your business model, we’re coming back to kind of the two principles here that I’ve talked about. Is this what you’re willing to do and is this what makes sense in your business model? You absolutely can get the organic reach you need by doing that.

And I think just having the um, plan, like just being able to plan ahead with that. What am I posting? How often am I doing it, at what time am I doing it every day? How can I make a system to create content that is streamlined? And most of the people I know are killing it with daily sales on something like Instagram, they are posting two to three times a day and they’re also posting on stories multiple times a day.

They’re also engaging on Instagram. And one thing you can do to make that easier is that we use a platform called ManyChat so that it auto engages for you, which some people are like, but then it looks robotic. Yes, it is robotic , that is correct, but you can’t, you’re only one person and if you’re expecting yourself to not only generate the amount of traffic you need to to make sales every day, but keep up with the engagement demands that come with that in order to sustain a growing account, uh, to some extent you, you can’t, you’re only one person.

So you’re either going to have to outsource it to a virtual assistant and or you’re going to have to outsource it with something like ManyChat that can do some of that heavy lifting for you. So if you’re generating the traffic you need via organic marketing, just that, that’s probably the path you’ll wanna go down is extreme consistency, volume, um, you know, focus on, uh, viral, uh, going viral, um, focusing on trends, screenshotting what you see other people doing that’s getting a lot of attention using those trending audios, having that be a science and letting go of the drama that I see some people have with social media around, well, no one liked my views or, um, it’s just not working and, you know, just stop taking social media personally.

And I think that’s very, very hard because social media feels so personal. It’s literally an account of you . And so when it feels like no one likes it or it’s not working and we lose sight of just the data behind it, we can get emotional, we can get out of our consistency and then you will trip over yourself away from the sales that you want to generate.

On the reverse side, if you want to do more, uh, paid traffic because you aren’t feeling good about or desiring to have this organic strategy be as, um, if you’re not willing or able to be as consistent with organic as you want, then ads could be a good option for you. This is more of the camp that my personal business runs in, but again, I have plenty of clients that focus on, uh, organic traffic alone and they see results with that.

So it’s not, one’s not better than the other, but with paid traffic, I think understanding the average ROI and in my passive at park sales, we have this amazing spreadsheet that helps you put in different examples of how much you’re willing to spend and how different your conversions can be along the route of your funnel.

So you can answer these things in an educated way, um, which is just what do you need to do with your numbers to get your paid traffic optimized and making sales every day? So for example, a mistake I commonly see people make or a frustration that they have is they’ll have this desire, I wanna be making sales consistently, I wanna be making sales every day.

And they are willing and excited about using ads to do that because they know that they don’t wanna deal with the volume required alone, but I’ll go look at their ad account or they’ll send me a screenshot and they’re spending 20 or so dollars a day.

Now, if you are starting with a paid ad that goes to something free, I do think that this makes sense. If you’re doing a paid ad to a webinar, then we’re wanting it to be, I don’t know, around $10. It depends on if you’re in a B2C or B2B niche. If you’re doing it to a free PDF or download, it could be even lower per lead. But if we are looking at a cost per purchase, if you’re running an ad directly to your funnel, then we are looking at around $50 as a starting point. We certainly can optimize that and get that lower, not necessarily $50 a day, but $50 per purchase.

So if you do the math here and you have, and you’re spending $20 a day, unless you have a very optimized ad that is getting you purchases for, uh, $20, you probably will not make sales every day from your ads at that rate.

You will probably make a few sales a week. In the beginning, you might only make one sale a week if you’re just still really testing so off. Also, having an understanding of what you need to generate traffic in a paid capacity is really important here. And understanding the testing protocol to get your ads down to a slim, optimized place so that you don’t have to, you, you can spend exactly as much as you know, will make you money every single day, which is, which is where my own business is at.

And this is something that we teach in my passive park sales. So having an understanding of what organic traffic really takes, I think people underestimate what it really takes. And having an understanding of what paid traffic really takes is really the core of what it takes to make sales every day. There is more nuance to it than that, of course, you wanna make sure you have a sales page that converts.

You wanna make sure you have an optimized funnel in its entirety. You wanna make sure your messaging is landing.

Those are things that are important to sales in general, but when we’re just talking about making sales every single day, it really isn’t as hard as I think it’s painted out to be so long as you have the volume of traffic needed to make a sale every day so long as it fits into your business model correctly. And so long as you understand the trade-offs that come with what it takes to make sales in your business every day and that you’re willing to do them.

If you want more specifics on the strategy behind creating content daily and the strategy behind ads, then I’d love for you to come to my passive park webinar. It is coming up and you can do so either by going to my website or the show notes in this podcast episode or by DMing me the word webinar on Instagram and we will auto-enroll you.

Okay. I hope that this brought you closer to your own version of daily sales. Whatever it ends up may end up looking like. There’s no pressure to do this, but if it is something you wanna do, it is attainable. And if you have this right mindset and right base, you are really in the right direction. So I’d love to help you more.

I hope you see you on my webinar and I hope you have a great day.
