Update From Leah
Last year, I jumped on the bandwagon of finding a year that summed up my previous year. In 2018, it was a “decision.” 2018 was the biggest rollercoaster of my life. The worst thing that had ever happened to me, happened, when I suddenly lost my dad. I experienced extreme grief and shock for nearly the entire year.
On the flip side, it wasn’t the worst year of my life. I got engaged in 2018, I quit my job in 2018, and had my first five-figure month in 2018.
All and all, it was a rollercoaster of a year that made me a lot stronger. But I made a decision after my dad passed that would transform my life. And, at the end of the year, I DECIDED 2019 would be the year I transformed my reality and made it the best year of my life. And it was, it SO was.
In that spirit, my word of 2019 is transformation. Stay tuned for the biggest transformations I made this year and what I learned about what it takes to transform any part of your life.
New podcast episodes
Ep. 91- The Science of Getting Rich
We are revisiting episode 91 to recap the importance of one of my favorite books, The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Waddles. This book is one of the key catalysts in the shift from working at a 9 to 5 and going through a quarter life crisis to understanding the power I have within me to change my financial reality and go bigger in my business. The more I read this book, the more I was able to apply it’s lessons to my own life.
Tune in to this episode to hear:
- Why The Science of Getting Rich has helped me achieve the visions I had for my life and business
- The ten biggest takeaways from this book and how I applied them to my own life
- How to shift your money mindset and how to raise your income even more
Ep. 92- Nicole Lapin, Overcoming Imposter Syndrome and Self-Care
(Released Thursday)
Episode 92 with Nicole Lapin is a personal favorite episode of mine because I have looked up to her for years. She was one of the youngest female anchors on CNN and she helped me consider how much further I could push myself in my 20’s than I had originally thought.
Tune in to this episode to hear:
- How to step into a mode of not caring and put yourself first in order to succeed in your business
- Why Nicole’s new book, Becoming Superwomen is extremely applicable to this platform and how it might provide advice for your business.
- How to align your body, mind and put self care first while still being ambitious in your business endeavors.
Upcoming travels & life
This Friday, my husband and I are headed to Chicago then Colorado to spend time with family for the holidays. I always love being from Colorado, but never more so than at Christmas. It truly embodies the coziness of Christmas so perfectly!
We won’t leave the city without our annual Elf Date, though. This will be the fourth year that my husband and I take a day off to recreate the “Elf Date.” It includes coffee, ice skating, visiting Rockefeller Center, gawking at the Christmas decorations in the city, and some last-minute shopping! Stay tuned on my Instagram to follow along.
