In 2018, I saw a need for something my community was craving. A place where they could bring their vision, ALL of it, be seen in it by their friends, and coached on actions to it.
At that point, I had an in-depth program called Scale Your Side Hustle® (now known as Scalable Services). It’s an extremely thorough program with every module and video you could need to build a six-figure business. We had incredible success stories produced left and right from this program. But once my students were done, many of them wanted more.
Not necessarily more materials, more content, more videos, more lessons. But more of themselves. More of their community, especially when friends and family often couldn’t understand what they were going through.
Thus, at the end of 2018, I took a leap and created my very first Mastermind. To this day, that’s one of the best business decisions I’ve ever made. My Mastermind has become the heart and soul of my business, produced multiple six and even seven-figure success stories, and has come to be (what I believe to be) the best-value Mastermind in the coaching industry.
Watch it grow and evolve…
2019-2020
For the first two years of my Mastermind, it was a six-month container. I limited it to just five women in each cohort and the Mastermind was $5k for 6 months.
What we focused on: How to use Facebook Ads to grow an email list, launch strategies, using webinars, using Instagram to nurture.
What I learned about leadership: During these cohorts, I learned how delicate leading a group can be (which is why many coaches don’t do it). Group think is a powerful thing. It can be used to harness excitement for everyone, but it can also plant doubts into people’s minds where they didn’t have them. These initial groups gave me a crash course in what is now a strength of mind: holding space for people’s challenges without letting it planting doubt for others.
Highlighted wins: Many of these women were in the first year or two of business, and seeing them hit their first five-figure months and quit their job was SUCH a thrill. They loved being able to celebrate with each other + me during the week on a Tuesday, when all their friends were still working at 9-5 jobs.
Retreats: We only had one NYC day-long event for the Mastermind at this stage. At the stage of business many of them were at, I didn’t want this to become an over extension that wasn’t financially smart, so I kept the expenses to a minimum. Plus, a pandemic hit!
2021
This year was a huge turning point in the Mastermind and shaped it into what it is today. I knew deep down I wanted the program to be a year. I could see it in what my cohorts needed. But my business coach at the time advised me against it because he felt people would be too afraid to commit to something to a year during the pandemic.
He was wrong. The year-long filled up more than any of my six month cohorts every did, even with an investment of $30k.
This Mastermind year was a dream.
What we focused on: This group was scaling QUICKLY in the online boom that was the pandemic. We were very focused on sales and sales strategy, since traffic was so easy to generate. My coaching was frequently on mindset, overcoming objections, staying true to your financial goals, and packaging and selling high-ticket offers.
What I learned about leadership: The double sided coin to the pandemic boom was how easy everything ~looked~. Honestly, I’ve still never seen business be easier than it was then, so it WAS easy. But it also created unrealistic ideas of what could happen, which is an easy recipe for disappointment. This time period and Mastermind taught me that leadership means helping people make the best decisions they can, which means making the trade offs of all decisions very clear. It also means level setting expectations while also not holding them back from the dreams they have and what’s possible. And this online business era pushed me to look closely at who wants to work with me, and be on guard for any “get rich in six months” type goals.
Highlighted wins: Where do I begin? Not one client came into this round of the Mastermind with a five-figure month and nearly every single person started having them. Many of them had $30k and even $40k months.
One of the members came into the program living under the poverty line (!) and was making $20k months by March. Another went from $5k months to $30k months by February. Many more created regularly five-figures in recurring revenue. This group really leapt and I also think it brought me to a new level of coaching.
Retreats: This is where my now-famous retreats were born. We did 3 (!) retreats this year. The first was all virtual because of the pandemic, but instead of it being on zoom on your couch, we booked every member a five-star hotel within driving distance to their homes and charged every expense back to us. Then, we had on at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood, and then one in NYC, all within a year. It was amazing.
2023
In 2022, I was newly postpartum and ended up focusing more on private coaching in 2022. The 2023 Mastermind felt SO right and it was another transformative year. You might recognize some of the faces in the photos as many of them are still clients!
What we focused on: This was a powerhouse group of women who nearly all broke through and/or exceeded six figures. This is also when a lot more moms started naturally becoming drawn to my programs! We focused a lot on paid ads, and there was also a common theme in scaling group programs which is something I’ve done very well in my own business.
What I learned about leadership: This group really affirmed the importance of having clients who actually want and like building a business for the intrinsic sake of it, not just for the results it might or might not get them. They were all very durable and not much stopped them, which is why they all got such great results and their businesses are still growing to this day.
This group really helped me sharpen my own skills in supporting my clients in taking action. I will never be the coach that has you sit through mindset work BEFORE taking action, but instead do them together. For the right client, they’ll see great results from that.
Highlighted wins: Another very successful cohort with lots of wins. One member started a small group program at the beginning of this Mastermind and it has gone on to make over $500k for her, and she’s a mom of four!
Another member started in this Mastermind at $5k months, and is rejoining the 2026 cohort for her fifth consecutive Mastermind and $50k months.
Another had her first six-figure year during this cohort and went onto have multiple six-figure years and three years of the Mastermind.
A very inspiring group of fast-moving women!
Retreats: With this being my first Mastermind with mostly moms, we did one of the two retreats virtually which was a convenient touch. It did really make me realize how much more I love the in-person retreats though! And our NYC Retreat was one for the books. We saw Wicked on Broadway, worked in Central Park, had cocktails on the roof of the Public Hotel, dinner at Balthazar and closed with champagne overlooking the sparkling skyline.
This was also the first year of my now-annual Christmas in NYC Retreat!
2024
Another year with amazing women, amazing retreats and amazing results. And this year also broke my retention rate record, with over 75% of the members rejoining the Mastermind.
What we focused on: As my own business evolved, so did my Mastermind members. More members than ever were moms, and more were already at six figures when they joined. We worked a lot on improving launches, raising their prices, the capacity to increase their business’ output, and team building.
What I learned about leadership: Because my brand had expanded to motherhood so much, this Mastermind became the most personal-mixed-with-business yet. We held space for all that comes with being a successful entrepreneur and mother, and the huge privilege it is but also how lonely it can be.
I feel like I really stepped into my roll of making sure my client’s visions were priorities, in a daily life full of demands from kids, spouses, and clients. That can be a hard line to tow, but this group really helped me shape it within myself and it’s why so many had their first multiple six-figure years and some other wild income months.
We used the Mastermind as a way to hold their vision just as high as their kids’ needs, for example.
Highlighted wins: A common theme here was members coming in having had five-figure months but they didn’t have consistency or predictability, and we worked a lot on recurring revenue.
Shout out to one of our amazing members who felt such imposter syndrome when she entered this group because she was “behind” and also went onto have a five-figure month!
Retreats: We LOVED the retreats this year! January in Miami which was such a fun way to kick off the year together. Then, summer in NYC where we saw Moulin Rouge, had lunch on the Edge, went to a night club (like 20-somethings!) and they all indulged in my multiple pregnancy cravings with me.
2025
This year was our first INTERNATIONAL retreat! A true dream come true. And the Mastermind just gets better and better.
What we focused on: In addition to my years of coaching on services and structures, I’ve now really helped my Mastermind members with their passive sales systems, which has been such an influential addition for my members.
What I learned about leadership: This year was an AMAZING Mastermind year. So many of the members are SO close because many of them have been in the Mastermind for multiple years now.
This year did teach me a lesson that was harder than I thought it’d be to learn: being a leader doesn’t mean being liked. As a coach, it’s not our job to tell our clients what they want to hear, but what the truth is. As a business owner, it’s not our job to have others tell us how they think we should make decisions, but run our own boundaries. Not everyone will like working with me, but those who do and are willing to receive it, will see results.
Highlighted wins: Lots of financial wins as always. Cut I have to say what really blew me away this year was my many Mastermind members hitting income goals with BABIES and while PREGNANT.
From setting up Passive Pregnancy Sales, to SAHMs having income-breaking months, it was a very wholesome year with a focus on resilience.
Retreats: Um… PARIS! We did have a great NYC Retreat. Not withstanding an unfortunate boat ride in the rain where everyone got a bit nauseous lol.
But Paris was an utter dream. I shared the entire retreat here.
