Live with Leah- NYC Event Recap

(And Why In-Person Events Will Always Be Worth It)

Like all of my events, I aim to create a unique environment where you get as much done as you would during a total deep dive work session, while also creating a vision board-like experience vs. in a stuffy office room. Plus, with a large emphasis on the community and entrepreneurial sisterhood, my events are a non-miss for working with me. This one was no different.

For these Live with Leah events, I host a small group of entrepreneurs in the heart of Manhattan for a day. I curate the exact topics of the workshop for who is in the room and what they need.

You can join these events here or they are included in my six-month business coaching transformer, Scalable Services.

Here’s what our most recent day looked like:

The Morning: Workshops, Strategy, and Getting Seen

We started early with pastries, fresh fruit, and the sigh of relief and inspiration that only comes with live events. “On my way here I realized I never do things like this for myself” one of our members shared.

It seems so obvious to say out loud that as entrepreneurs, having days to focus on our strategy and step away from our daily demands of client work and day-to-day life seems downright essential. Yet we RARELY do it.

So you can taste the relief it brings in right away. No phones, no mom mode, no inbox. Just women who had made the decision to pour into themselves and their businesses for the day.

We kicked things off with a deep-dive workshop on visibility. What’s working right now in organic marketing, what’s working in paid ads, what the data is actually saying. I don’t hold back in these settings and this was no exception.

After the teaching, we broke into small groups to workshop what was most relevant to each person. I had pre-matched partners based on who had the most in common with each other, so the feedback was actually useful and specific to where they are in their businesses. I moved between the groups to make sure everyone had my eyes on their work and their strategy.

Every single person in that room walked away with a plan.

The Birthday Surprise I Will Never Forget

We headed to a nearby restaurant for a three-course prix-fixe lunch overlooking Central Park. Champagne was ordered, laughter was shared. Again, this is the kind of real, easy conversation that only comes when people actually trust each other and are willing to take the time to show up face to face.

And then…

A birthday cake came out of nowhere.

My clients had called the restaurant ahead of time. My birthday had been the day before and they had arranged it without me knowing.

I genuinely did not have words in that moment and I still don’t fully have them now. It was one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me in my ten years of running this business. I am so grateful for clients like this.

The Afternoon: Hot Seats, Content, and Ad Reviews

After lunch, we returned to the conference room and moved into a hot seat format. Each woman shared what was most pressing in her business, the group poured in with support and ideas, and everyone left with a massive list of things that were already working for others that they could implement immediately.

Throughout the afternoon, I pulled women out of the main room one by one to shoot content for their channels and do a live ad review with me. No one left without checking both of those off their list.

This is the kind of access and attention that you just cannot replicate on a Zoom call. Period.

The Evening: Champagne, Appetizers, and the Biggest Dreams

We ended the day at a beautiful hotel lobby bar nearby. We toasted with champagne, had appetizers, and shared our biggest dreams we have for our businesses.

It was the perfect close to a full, incredible day.

I’m SO grateful I tuned into what would most serve them instead of sticking to a rigid schedule. The group dynamic was already strong, and now they had a relaxing massage and an in-depth private coaching session in the mix, too.

We talked about individual money mindset blocks, crafted a VIP offer, set up new ad campaigns and… got so much done!

The Part That Stayed With Me

Here’s the thing I want to make sure comes through in this recap.

Yes, people left with a better marketing strategy. Yes, we reviewed ads. Yes, we shot content. Yes, the workshops were productive and full of applicable takeaways.

But the most powerful part of the day had nothing to do with any of that.

It was watching these women connect with each other, and be genuinely seen by people who understand what this path actually requires, in a way that most people in their lives never will.

Some of them had never allowed themselves a full day like this before. No caregiving, client work, or context switching. Just them, their vision, and a room full of women who get it.

I cannot overstate how important that is.

We live in a world that pushes digital-everything. Zoom calls, DMs, voice memos. And I use all of those too. But they will never replace what happens when we get together in a room.

If you have been waiting for permission to invest in in-person experiences for yourself and your business, this is it.

More events are coming. I will keep hosting them as long as I have clients who want to show up for themselves the way this group did.

With love, Leah ✨
