April Recap

April was full of meaningful moments. It brought some of my biggest challenges in years which was really tough, but some huge milestones both within my business and family.

Family wise…

We baptized our baby this month, surrounded by family and dear friends. We celebrated Easter, with the kind of spring sunshine that makes New York feel brand new. We spent a weekend in Philadelphia and visited the zoo—my toddler’s face lighting up at the sight of giraffes is something I won’t forget.

My sister’s baby shower was another highlight, a full-circle moment that reminded me how lucky we are to be raising our children side by side.

And of course, we lived in Central Park. Every spare afternoon found us there—picnicking, exploring, running barefoot in the grass. It’s our family’s backyard, and in so many ways, where I feel most like myself.

Getting to be with my boys so much is the greatest gift entrepreneurship has given me. Not just for the milestones and photo-worthy events, but for the in-between—the midday cuddles, the early dinners, the freedom to say “yes” to spontaneity.

This kind of life didn’t happen by accident. It took intentional design. And in April, I felt that design working—especially on the days that felt heavy. I always come back to my mantra when entrepreneurship feels tough:

This is where most people stop. Borrow it the next time you want to turn around!

April Business Highlights

My Mastermind Retreat

I hosted my annual Mastermind Retreat in NYC and had 10 women fly from all over the country to retreat together. These are always a highlight of my year and the Mastermind itself, and this one was no exception. We had high tea at Bergdorf Goodman, workshopped in Columbus Circle, connected in a penthouse, and brainstormed on a boat tour of lower Manhattan.

As one of my Mastermind members says annually, “the retreats are worth the price of the Mastermind alone!”

Launching my Passive Park Sales™ Playbook

I created and launched my 49-page FREE guide that debriefs my entire Passive Sales System.

I love this playbook because it really explains the depth of this system. It’s about so much more than making a few extra hundred bucks through digital products. It’s about creating an intentional passive income system that then strategically scales your services, too. Which is the ultimate vehicle to freedom (and how I’m a mom of a toddler and infant with a nearly $50k month).

Income Breakdown

Group Coaching

Total: $37,519

Holy wow! This was by far the largest category of my income this month for a few reasons, but the most exciting being the launch of my Passive Park Sales LIVE cohort. It’s closed now, but if you want to learn my passive sales ==> scalable services model, download my free Passive Sales System Playbook.

Passive Digital Products

Total: $4,094

This was a bit lower than average this month. That’s mostly because I was more focused on my group program launch, which meant more of a focus on my current audience than prioritizing a huge in-flux of new leads. Still, feels great to have this come in passively.

VIP Days

Total: $3,500

VIP Days are one of my favorite offerings because they allow me to work 1:1 with clients, delivering immense value in a short amount of time. These immersive days focus on achieving significant results for my clients, whether it’s business strategy, marketing plans, or crafting their passive income streams. I only offer a few of these a year and they’re so special.

Assistant Coach

Total: $2,035

My fabulous coach, Abby, who is all my sister, works with our clients too, under my business’ umbrella. This income is for clients she works with exclusively with me.

Thoughts from April

April was the first month I felt like I was in the swing of business growth since having my son in August.

The last 7 months postpartum, adjusting two kids, one starting preschool, and the other refusing a bottle (which has meant I’ve fed him every three hours since birth), have been such a whirlwind. They’ve been amazing but insanely busy, as I know all parents of multiples know. It’s a huge shift in logistics!

It feels great to get back into business, but something I’ve really focused on is making sure I’m still the employer in my business, not the employee.

This is a common trap I see entrepreneurs fall into when life gets busy, business gets busy, or they haven’t intentionally done the work within it yet.

It looks like a way of working that feels very productive, because you’re checking things off on your to-do list. But if you look closer, those things aren’t necessarily moving your business forward. They’re sort of just keeping it afloat, and you end up looking for someone to just give you the answers instead of stepping into your role as CEO and visionary. The way an employee just does what they’re told to do. It lacks vision and initiative. And it’s rarely our fault! We weren’t taught how to do this and corporate America actually wants quite the opposite.

But it’s so so important and I loved refocusing that way again this April. Especially because entrepreneurship means moving quickly, pivoting and adjusting. So staying on top of your direction can make all the difference. If you’re not sure how to do that, reach out for help!
